Sadly, we need science to remind us that love is the essence of a happy and healthy living. As if this truth was not ever known before. Tragically, we live automated lives. We don't know love as much it had been known. We relate with unanimated machines more than we relate with animated (from the Latin anima which means soul) humans. As human we too are becoming un-animated (un-soulful). Love is an unknown to humans when both the inalienable experience and modeling of loving relationships is substituted with utilitarianism - an extension of materialism. More and more of us use people no differently than we use things. Isn't marriage and friendships too often using someone till s/he can be used? It will be the best feats of modern science to enable us - the machine-extension humans - be rewired to the deepest human longings and potentials - LOVE
That means the brain can generate pain-controlling responses without medications that perhaps, "if we understood them better, we could trigger them," said NIDA's Volkow.
Lol...The director of NIDA talking about triggering pain controlling responses? Something sounds fishy...
That was a great and uplifting story, and one thing that I and likely, many viewers did not miss was your almost total upliftinging change of demeanor as you ad-libbed (I think) how nice it would be if we could do it ourselves at will.
I had some skin tabs removed by an amazingly beautiful medical assistant. I wasn't in love or full of lust, but, if I could have, I would have returned the next day to repeat the painful procedure.
...It can also cause it....
suck me hard thats all love is good for or bend over ill rip you a new A hole
you want me to love you good split your cheaks open so i can ram your A hole
This study is complete BS.
Love does not cause pain. Other things cause pain, primarily jealousy, possessiveness, selfishness, pride, greed, anger, etc.

love hurts. (if your doing it right)
I'm guessing love releases the endorphins in your brain.
Brian;

Love is the most pernicious drug of all.
