we just rescued a kitten about half grown who has been hit by a train and lost one back foot and the other back leg up to his hock (knee). we're treating it with salve we use on our quadrapaligic goat (who is also blind and has only one horn) to contain the infection and seal the wounds. we cannot afford to take the kitten to the vet and don't have the heart to put her down. has anyone ever built a kitten wheel chair for the rear end to roll around in in a similar situation? who's wanting to adopt this sweet little beast and make her a project. we already have way too many animals with special needs to take on the expense of a full blown rehab program for her at this time. if you know of any organization or individual with experience in like matters or someone who has grant money available for designing a wheel chair for her, please let us know. any information and constructive ideas would be much appreciated.
