I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your Health Care Legislation. You just proved to me that the government should keep out of the issue.
I just finished signing up for my 2011 Health Insurance. I was dismayed to see it will cost me 22% more than this year. It is the biggest increase ever by far. Oh yeah, it gets worse, the deductible also went up and so did the prescription drug co-pay.
In my eyes you did not do it right! I will vote to elect candidates for the senate and the house who will overturn or fix this abomination.
To my fellow Americans - Hang on to your wallets, the scr_wing is just starting.
I have to ask: Is anybody really surprised by this news? Wasn't this almost a guarantee once this legislation passed?
My wife's company just received their renewal notice. Their premiums went up 35%.....when it is typically a 15% increase. Due to this increase we are now part of the uninsured. Her company has decided to no longer offer health insurance.
Of course, premiums are going up. Remember, most people wanted the public option to keep this from happening. Guess who shot that down? It wasn't President Obama, that was his idea in the first place. Blame Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats.
I'm disgusted. First by the people who really, really thought they were getting something for nothing. Secondly by the Left who really thought the rest of us like being - 1) lied to; 2) taken for fools; 3) Treated like temperamental children.
I'm disgusted because I thought Americans at least understood that citizenship in this country came with responsibility---to think! Who does not understand that when someone or some group gives you something, you are expected to give something in return. Like your silence and unquestioning obedience to some party line.
We worry about Orwell's 1984? Folks it's here. The problem is that the people who are leading us down that path are the true temperamental children. They live in a fog of utopian nonsense.
My question: when they don't get what they want, what will they do next?
