This is another STUPID post by an ignorant, uneducated person on Newsvine. Rachael, do your homework precious! Sepsis is a bacterial infection that kills people. Bacteria that invade your bloodstream are deadly. Older people become septic more often. Go look up sepsis before you come up with a seed like this. Just because you can type does not mean you should put something on Newsvine that is this simple! BACTERIA IN ANYONE'S BLOOD IS B A D!!!! Try something a bit more simple and less obvious.

This issue is not a laughing matter. Sepsis is often the result of hospital acquired infections or failure to treat appropriately while in the hospital. You go in, have a procedure, surgery or just testing and exploration. Within 30 days you are back with infection because your problems were ignored, not properly treated or followed. Look at the candidate for California senate, HP executive Ferrari, is it? She had surgery and back in hospital for infection.

We need accountability and transparency in the healthcare industry. You hear the same story over and over again. "died from complications from surgery or pneumonia, etc. etc" Those complications translate: infection, sepsis, etc. from hospital-acquired infections, which are epidemic in many hospitals nationwide.

It just isn't talked about so everyone thinks it does not exist.
