Now that the GOP is back in the driver's seat of the car they wrecked previously, we can expect far more incidents like this as they repay the favors owed to their corporate buddies. Dude, where were you when the Obidit took 3000 of his buddies on a grand tour of the Far East and put his biggest donors in Czar positions which are unsupervised by Congress? It wasn't the GOP instituting invasive body searches at airports and trying to regulate free speech on the internet. Nearly all cases of foodborne illness result from the manufacture and packaging of such items at large facilities. Yet it's the DEMS who are trying to pass the Food Safety Modernization Act which would literally put small farms, farmers markets, and homesteaders, the SAFE producers, out of business. Check your facts before you mouth off.
SanGar is blaming the health inspector? Did the health inspector also go to the homes of the 4 people who died and touch their celery? Get real.
Anybody who thinks we should eliminate the FDA and allow private industry to self-regulate... should have to eat lettuce from this place.

NO!! If this plant is found guilty of causing the illnesses and the FOUR DEATHS of people who bought products processed by this plant.. SHUT THEM DOWN PERMANENTLY, pull their license, and seize their assets.
Enough is enough, we spent good money on inflated food prices only to get sick or worst so scumbags like these can run a filthy plant so their bottom line shows more profitability.

In case none on you noticed, this company's in TEXAS!!! Bush Country, the home of Corporate Imperialism! If you're wondering why this company wasn't shut down, fined, and put out of business, look no further than the Governor's office. That's right, Rick Perry, FORMER FAMILY MINISTER TO THE BUSH FAMILY, isn't likely to turn on a company that helps him keep getting re-elected. Texas is as pro-business, anti-regulation as any state could possibly be. If there is any doubt about that, just remember what Dubya did to our regulatory agencies during his 8 years in the White House. Of course the Texas State Board of Health waited for cover from the FDA, if they hadn't they would have had to go up AGAINST THEIR OWN BOSS!!! I don't know about you, but I wouldn't do that if I wanted to KEEP MY JOB.
BUT DON'T WORRY, THE REPUBLIFACISTS ARE BACK AND HAVE EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL. They'll just trust their good ole CORPORATE buddies to police themselves and everything will be just fine, you just wait and see.
