Nice, Britax. I have a Britax seat (not one of the recalled ones). These are good (and expensive) child seats. The box very prominently displayed their address in N.C. I actually didn't know they were made in China. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
many things you buy are made in china and quality runs the gamut. part of our problem in the consumer world it that we often point to country of origin as an indicator of quality. it isn't. we make just as much junk as any nation. You ever drive an american made car?
chinese made does say it all. i have lots of chinese made goods and most are superior quality. i think britax actually says the most: charge a lot--most americans equate price with quality. britax sold these seats and they are the ones to be held responsible. this has nothing to do with chinese goods....some of which are high quality, some of which are defective....just like the stuff we make.
Recalled for cuts and scratches? How ridiculous! What's next, requiring all cities and towns to rip up all sidewalks and replace them with rubber walkways?
Chinese-made says it all
Made in China.

Would be nice if the article actually mentioned the model which was recalled.
