The verdict is not surprising at all. There was tremendous public opinion against him teaching in school and if he was reinstated I guarantee every parent would pull his kid out of that school.
But at least the issue is out there and over time (much time) attitudes toward gays and HIV/AIDS sufferers will change
China needs better laws concerning this its plain to see discrimnation is alive and well all over the world,TB/HIV/AIDS carrers aren't going to helped or cured if they don't deal with attudes an discrimation towards the issue first... Hopefully this man kind find other employmeant somewhere with out being harrsed or stigmatized for his condition.... I'd say China needs to overhaul its healthcare system also.
I don't see how he'd be able to infect anyone or transmit the AIDS virus while being a school teacher, so what is the issue, exactly? It seems that people there are ignorant about how the virus is transmitted.
Does ANYBODY proofread these stories before they get posted??
If he brought the action, then he is the PLAINTIFF, and NOT the Defendant! The way the headline is written, I expected that the story would be the exact opposite of what it actually is.

I'm actually surprised that China hasn't isolated their AIDS suffers. Maybe this is showing progress, even if they did not win this suit.

Hey Mr. Bodeen....if Little Wu commenced the suit, then he should be the plaintiff and not the defendant.
Not in China. In China, you are always the defendant.
It is not only the HIV/AIDS that have the people worried in China.
In China, TB/HIV/AIDS has been the number 1 cause of death from infectious disease in adults sense the 1990's.
Tuberculosis is a major public health problem, China has the world's second largest TB epidemic after India.

You can control who you have sex with or share needles with. HIV/AIDS
You can not control who you have to associate or work with. TB
Malaria the disease was not curred, the carriers were eradicated.
