    Me too!

    I made the choice to stop taking statins because of the side effects and very poor results. I tried everything, including diet and exercise...saw no reductions.

       I have been on statin drugs since 1988 and have had excellent results ... highest cholesterol total has been in the 160 range with numbers below 150 not uncommon.  Still, I fight LDL and HDL levels ... my HDL is marginally OK as are my LDL levels.  This drug, given acceptable side effects, would be a blessing.  Of course, with the VA as my "Plan D" Rx provider, there is not a chance in H... I would be approved to take the drug when it comes on the market.
