I sure wish these articles would include the cases per 100,000 so we could get a more accurate statistical idea. Ex: 4 cases per 100,000 compared to 2 cases is a 100% difference.
How did they measure finger length? From the actual end of the bones or just the length extending from the edge of the palm? I get 2 different relative lengths, using the bones, I appear to be in trouble, using the exterior measurement, not so much.
O.K. guys! Here's some GOOD news for you the medical community has known for YEARS & SHOULD be more openly telling:
When I was in nursing school, we were taught that MOST men will die WITH IT, not OF IT."
This interesting little stat. was gleaned, I imagine, from post mortems. MOST, NOT ALL, prostate cancer is slow growing.
The T.V. commercials for "..............going & going" is NOT for prostate cancer but a condition of BPH_Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy, which is too much prostate tissue growing around the urethra & creating problems. The good news is that it usually can be controlled by meds. or out-patient surgery.
So cheer up & enjoy the season! Doom & Gloom make the headlines too much anymore!
The real reason is that us guys with longer index fingers have longer sexual organs, which means we get more sex, which means the chance for prostate cancer is lower.
It's already been shown that guys who have sex more often have lower incidences of prostate and testicular cancers.
Well, I'm screwed....

Do you ever wonder how the medical community can jump from a diagnosis to a seemingly unrelated sign of illness? Interesting leap though.

I knew having long fingers had more than a single benefit or two.
