1. Pregnancy IS a medical condition. 2. They should include the many women who are killed by husbands/boyfriends who would rather commit murder than take responsibility for their actions.
Some of the countries with a lower infant mortality rate than the USA: Iceland, Singapore, Japan, Sweden Norway, Finland, Switzerland, South Korea, France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Austria, Australia, UK, Canada, Ireland, Portugal, Cuba (YES CUBA),................................

homesick... Everyone wants instant gratification, instant reward. Two years (though it can seem like an eternity while living it) is actually a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things. I, for one, am not at all surprised that the miracle of meaningful healthcare reform did not happen so quickly. It is a question of reasonable expectations and sticking with it for the long haul -- but we, as a people, don't seem to have that kind of stamina for social change anymore. But are you suggesting people were so dissatisfied because Democrats didn't get the job done, as it were, in two years that they voted the Dems out and voted in people far less likely to get it done? Is that really your argument? If that is what really happened, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me and the electorate in this country is more hopeless than I had previously thought.
