That's just wonderful. Why don't you write a story about something that is good. We don't need an itemized list of all the stuff that does NOT work for cancer.
Bisphosphonates are actually only taken once a month in pill form. However, a possible alternative would hopefully aleviate some side effects that they have. While it may not be useful for cancer there are still possible uses for osteoporosis which is still good news. I also think that it is great that a negative study is being published because most never are.
Why dont we start with telling women if they have dense breast tissue a mamogram has a snowball chance in hell of finding a lump. Women need to be told and ask for your radiology report after a mamogram to know if they have dense breast tissue and a mamogram alone is not enough. Breast ultra sound for women with dense breast tissue should be routine along with a yearly mamogram. We need bc to be diagnosised as early as possible for the best possible outcome. Mamograms alonone are not as effected on women with dense breast tissue to find possible abnormalities. Please go to the web site "areyoudense.org" for more information.
I am a 73 yr old woman who has had a recurrence of cancer from the breast and is now Stage IV bone cancer. I've been on zometa for over 2 years, just recently got told it doesn't help the cancer but apparently strengthens my bones. What is the point? Life sucks, my husband hates me after 54 yrs. Why live like this, no hope at all.
what about my 76 year old husband being treated with zometa for his lung cancer for the last six months?
Was that headline the result of some kind of contest at msnbc?
