Sorry, Haiti. The U.S. is too busy trying to scrounge up chemicals for death row victims.
I really feel that the whole global health community needs to support getting fast and effective treatment to the Haitans. They had no issues with cholera prior to it's introduction by outsiders and they do not deserve to pay such a devastating price for a disease dumped on them.
We shouldn't have to pay such a devastating price for having Haitians dumped on us. I live in Florida so yeah...

Meanwhile, some Haitians - who truly do not have a chance - are dying as you read this over the cost of a latte and your newspaper.
Medicine cost money. International Aid is in it only for the money. Haiti has no clean water because Haiti has no infrastructure. Haiti has no infrastructure because they have no organized government. Haiti is run by profiteering international aid agencies.
Shouldn't they be taught cause and effect also, since without that information.................
Once again the progressive liberals of the world fail to deliver for this floundering nation of dying souls. Millions of dollars are still held by the U.S. and the UN while these people die like flies. The Red Cross has shown they are unable to provide any relief as well as all of the other bleeding hearts and agencies. The money just flows in and is stockpiled by the wealthy UN administrators and political corrupt powers that are waiting to build new palaces, buy limo's and live off the goodwill of the world. Its a shame that this is happening in our own backyard.
This is outrageous! Haitians don't deserve to live?? Why wasn't a massive vaccination program stated immediately?? As said before this is genocide - right in the backyard of the USA.
Vaccines can be dangerous. The U.S. is over using vaccines. I avoid vaccines for myself. Vaccines that use agevants can cause autoimmune disorders. Many auto-immune disorders in the U.S. may be related to vaccines and their immune raising powers. Clean water prevents many of the diseases that countries without an infrastructure are victims of. Haiti needs a government run for Haitians not one run for the profit of international aid agencies.
I am not an MD. Antibiotics with their sometimes undocumented side effects are a short term fix. Of course it takes funding for alternative treatment and adequate sanitation too.
What's needed are water treatment facilities (and free birth control).
So they stockpile the relief coming in the harbour, and just now realized, "oh we have a miracle vaccine that will surely fix this issue"
How about not testing a pretty new Vaccin and instead really help the raped Haiti people?
What about the Swine Flu or H1N1 Vaccine?
