This is the death panel they were talking about, but it is a Republican job. The man who won't get the liver transplant? Dead. Thank you, Tea Party. We need real health care in this country. For people to die like this for lack of catastrophic coverage is criminal in "the best country in the world". From the bed of the man with no liver, it don't look so good.
Yep. He won't get that liver transplant and die, but that corporate exec will now be able to go buy that snazzy Ferrari F450 to put in the garage with the other 6 Ferraris he already has using that continued tax break.
It's about time those on medicaid have to face the same options many do who actually pay for their own health care. Many companies do not include dental or vision care with their health care packages for employees and even then, with co-pays and the percentages that aren't covered, consumers have had to make this type of decision while the taxpayer pays for all of the costs involved for someone on medicaid.
When the option is getting the tooth pulled and keeping a roof over your head or getting a root canal and not being able to pay the rent, it's not a very hard choice - the tooth gets pulled. Even transplants have to be considered in the same way when you are trying to do the right thing and take care of your family.
I know that many will say that I am being hard-hearted, but all I am saying is welcome to the real world. The taxpayers' pockets aren't bottomless. We can't afford, as a nation, to continue to pay for everything for the destitute that the bleeding hearts want to give them. It has got to end before it bankrupts us.
This is nothing. Wait until Obamacare dumps 30 million more people into the medicaid system.........meltdown. Medicaid administrators treat recipients like an endangered species. No co-pays, no deductable. No charge for ambulance transport, even if it's not an emergency, on and on. Let's not even mention medicaid benefits to newborns of undocumented immigrants. Medicaid has grown from a bare bones safety net into the best insurance policy around. It can't keep on that way. The demand is bottomless and the till is empty.
And politicians should start paying for their own medical expenses as well since their "employers" can't afford it they should have it cut as well...then maybe they would work harder to fix this broken system. And while we're at cutting medical expenses stop giving illegals medical care. I don't get any and they damn well shouldn't...in fact that shouldn't even be an issue if our politicians started obeying and enforcing our immigration laws by deporting illegal aliens in the first place. This isn't a flop house!
If Im disabled and nobody wants to live with me cause Im say different or old or whatever...And lets say I get like 1600 month...Clearing 400 wk which is generous for disabled or elderly...Now my rent is like 800 bucks thats half... SO now under Obamacare after the rest of the bills and debts paid I guess this person doesnt have to worry about their food budget cause they will have no teeth to eat their food with ...So they will have more money cause they couldnt eat to buy consumer goods to drive the economy....Its the economy stupid ..
Yes my father in law would buy a 5th and down it to anesthitize and have a brother slam a door after tied rope to tooth and if that didnt work they used a wrentch...to yank it ...
It's a shame that this has now started. I'm afraid it'll only get worse. Just remember which party said that you have to pass it before you can see what's in it or better yet what's not in it (like health care itself). We can however afford to send our president and only 3000 of his closest friends on alittle trip over seas. We also got to pay for queen Nancys jet for the last couple years. Then lets see how much pork we can attach to the tax extensions. These may sound like little things, but for somebody waiting for a transplant it's huge.

What a wonderful world we live in.
These are serious issues affecting Medicaid. How will Obama care affect these people who can't get help from Medicaid?

Was'nt this a large part of "Obama"care? To get people off of medicaid "government run health care" and into the private insurance industry.

I've known people that didn't even have the money to get a tooth pulled, so they did their own dental work.
