Of course, they (the Republicans) have to try to take everything the poor people got out of the new healthcare laws and repeal it because their buddies in the big insurance industry are losing profits! Oh, boo hoo!
And you people voted these greedy, idiots back in? We'll be right back where we were in 2008 . . . on the verge of collapse!
i think some of the people are right about this healthcare debacle. but some are wrong also. there are some good things in this healthcare deal and there is a lot wrong but to fathom it out will take a lot more cooperation then there is in washington.our congress and our senators are like bunch of kindergarten children.so far, they bicker and bicker and get "nothing" done .this has to stop. stubborness has no place in the government when it come to the good of this great nation. and if we want it to stay "great" we had better urge our politicians to get off the stick and "do"something or we are going "UNDER"god in our country is a must,as i have no patience with the naysayers. they tend to bring out the worst in us all and we must continue our trust in a higher power, not our government, our lord in heaven. thats who we need to put our trust in everyday every hour. this country was founded on christianity and not senators congressmen and women and fast planes and cars and such. we have diverted our attention away from things that matter to things that do not matter so much and we have chosen people who cannot or will not bring about peace to this country or anything that will boost us up where we belong . beware of false porfits and people who "do not" have our welfare at heart. of which we have in "abundance". i am afraid ,very afraid of where we are headed.if by some miracle we can get our voices heard then just maybe the government will show us it has a heart for all americans.
To just play politics by voting to repeal (knowing it ain't gonna happen) is a waste of time and money. It is also hypocrisy to do this without allowing amendments. I'm actually WITH the GOP on the premise that forcing people to buy into an insurance plan oversteps the role government (this should be left to states, like auto insurance) BUT there are a few protections in the bill that need to remain. This is the problem with the GOP and why they are unable to govern this country. They want all or nothing. They refuse to compromise on anything that doesn't benefit them politically or their rich friends financially. It's ridiculous. I say tread lightly. You think you won big last November but that really was only 25% of the people. The rest of the country who didn't vote that day are definitely watching you GOP. You can bet your life that these people will be back in 2012 with another message if you continue playing politics instead of governing.
Quit waisting any more time on health care, concentrate on getting our jobs back, we need to work before we can pay for health care. Four years is going to go by fast and you won't have any support even from your own party if we don't get jobs.
Republicans have made a HUGE miscalculation if they think American are going to tolerate non-funding of the healtcare bill, cutting SS and medicare and the like! Americans have figured out that old sick people and the middle class should not have to pay for the deliberate GOP strategy of running up the national debt so high as to cause a budget crisis! Let's the Republican House call for the cuts outside of those areas, particularly in the military-indsustrial complex. The passt 30 years showed that they arent very shy about putting a huge trough for these contractors to pig out at!
NOW all we have to do is get the media to report that fact that since the Reagan administration, Republicans have had as their strategy to privatize SS, Medicare etc. THAT is the reason for the debt they ran up! Seems to me would should have hear about a jobs bill from the GOP House that claimed a mandate! But, they showed their true colors by INSISTING on keeping tax cuts for the rich, holding the unemployed hostage until they got it and adding some $700B more to the debt! And then there was the phony "repeal" of healthcare! Voters of America!!! Arent you just tickle PINK that you gave the GOP such a HUGE majority in the House! We got suckered again!!
