I have a 6 year old Rat Terrier and one day out of the blue she decided that she is TERRIFIED of the oven. I don't know what happened?? She used to be afraid of the toaster but after many months of associating the toaster with treats my fiance and I were able to enjoy toast once again.. However this situation with the oven is far worse than the toaster ever was. It begins with shaking and then panting, and within 10 minutes her body temperature is way high, her eyes are rolling back into her head she is peeing.. and the only solution is to take he from the house. She even reacts this way when she is in her kennel clear on the other side of the house and music is playing. We have no clue how it is that she hears it but, she does. She is also deathly afraid of the fire alarm (that came with the toaster) and Motorcycle helmets.. We are getting to the point were we think the only solution is to get her on some kind of medication, but if it can be solved without it I would love some suggestions.. It breaks my heart, to see her so scared. Please Help!!
I need emergent help for my 5 year old beagle, I rescued him from a shelter when he was two. He is terrified of any noise, even dropping a pen on the floor will send him running out the doggie door into the fenced yard.
Yesterday while we were walking I dropped his retractable lease and the noise sent him running frantically down the street and into the woods. He couldn't escape the noise since he was attached to him. I spend two hours looking for him in the woods and thankfully my neighbor came home and helped me find him I kept calling his name and he kept howling but I couldn't tell where he was, the neighbor knew the woods well and found him with his lease wrapped around a chain link fence and he couldn't get free. If he wasn't found a cycote would have probably gotten him. As you can tell he is dangerously out of control and I fear for his life. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm scared of even walking him anymore!!

Find the episode of the dog whisperer where he deals with a dog afraid of the toaster. You aren't alone. Good luck.
