Peanut allergy is a type of the food allergy distinct from the nut allergies. It is a type one hypersensitivity reaction to dietary substances from the peanuts causing an overreaction of the immune system which in the small percentage of the people may lead to severe physical symptoms.

It would suck to be allergic to peanuts. They are soooo tasty.
