This is amazing. I have always known I'd want to get the full battery of genetic tests -- me and my husband -- before conception, and this just makes me feel so much better about that decision. If a person wants to take chances with their future baby's health, then fine. But I believe in making life easier and healther for everyone involved. If I can know my husband and I will never have a child with, say, Batten or some other awful and debilitating disease, I'm jumping on that train for sure. My glass (at this time of the morning it's coffee-filled) is raised to science, again.

I have no problems with this. It could be done before marriage or at any time. It makes a whole lot more sense than a blood test for measles before marriage.
