I pray that advance medicine will help the symptoms of Alzheimer and soon cure this awful disease that dose not just show its ugly face in seniors..........
I wish someone was putting as much effort into a treatment medication that actually worked... At this time, it is not going to do any good - there isn't anything they can do anyway.
Honestly, what is the point. There is nothing that can be done about it. To me, this is just something to make money. My Grandmother died of alzheimers. I took care of her. What will this help? Yes, you have it, but, we cannot do anything about it! Look for a cure!!

The FDA is a pathetic joke. The people running it should all be fired and the administration should be rebuilt from the ground up so that it actually does what it is supposed to do: namely, ensure the safety and quality of America's food and drugs.

Not to mention the current FDA officials should be held on charges for crimes against humanity. Namely pushing UNSAFE drugs on the public as human trails. (lipitor, vioxx and dozens more) Also, their approval of GMO foods will kill more people than any of histories notorious anti-Christ individuals.
Monsanto should be held for these crimes also. They are voted as the most evil corporation for another year and it is well deserved.
This is a sad disease but it is preventable, well, that is if you DARE to actually look at REAL science in the holistic medical field and go against the mentality that the drug companies today are trying to cure anything, of which they are NOT.
Time and time again the shut down ANYTHING that has shown promise for a cure because the tests are done on something they CAN'T patent. What a bunch of pathetic, money grubbing evil ba-stards. The latest crime is making IV Vitamin C illegal and they shut down all trials after a person was given this vitamin in a hospital and not only was cured from H1N1 that was supposed to kill him. Heaven forbid this gets out on the market!!!

It's frustrating and sad.
While I was hoping that the headline would lead to an article about a drug that can cure and reverse the effects of this horrible disease, I will take any advancement I can get. My grandmother passed away two weeks ago yesterday from Alzheimer's and I helped my parents care for her through the end. I do believe this disease is one of the worst ways a person can go.
Currently only an autopsy can definitively diagnose Alzheimer's Disease.
As a diagnostic tool, this imaging agent might be able to differentiate between AD and dementia that isn't AD. This might alter treatment methods used and may lead to research in newer more effective treatments.
By the time patients exhibit the symptoms of AD, they may have had it already for years. If there is a method to help diagnose it earlier, there might be greater hope in treating it.
Are my wife and I the only ones to notice that every drug or body replacement part involved in the huge lawsuits for causing more problems than they cured, is FDA approved? Wow! I sure have a lot of faith in the FDA.
