"Prefer to speak Spanish", "newly established communities"....all politically correct ways to say "probably illegal aliens who have newly arrived and don't know the English language and are afraid to go to clinics for the vaccinations".
The article mentions the outbreak of whooping cough cases in California, for the first time loosely linking it to this group. For the past year, the spread of the whooping cough has been laid at the feet of mothers who, it was said, didn't want their children to be vaccinated.
But you can not say that, it is not PC. Especially in California...
The MAJORITY of DEATHS were Hispanic babies, that were too young to receive any vaccinations. So just who do you think were causing the spread of the disease... The older care givers...
Blaming it on the people who refused to give their children the vaccine. Was a POLITICAL 'Smoke Screen'. Not many Hispanics use the children of upper-middle class people as babysitters... This was used to cover the TRUTH...
You will see the same thing in another 5 to 7+years when the disease cycles again... Unless you start vaccinating and giving boosters to the ILLEGALS... NOW
BTY - The Legals with visas are required to have these shots...
If any senior needs vaccinating go get help. Whooping cough any where should be stop whether or not they, (illegal aliens), speak english. Because the germs does not know the legals from the other humans roaming this land. Hopefully, the little illegals should be treated too.
in particular seniors who prefer Spanish, or live in Spanish-speaking or newly-formed communities."
From the article/well then if they prefer Spanish why did they come here???? Have they no children who can translate for them. This is based on a Medicare survey so if they have Medicare how are they able to prepare the paperwork in order to be eligible. I do not get how people can receive benefits and they have no language issue yet when it comes time to get the needed immunizations there is a language barrier??????
Sorry I know this sounds harsh but it has become tiring to hear the complaints yet absolutely nothing is being done by folks to assimilate and learn at least enough of the language to get by.
