I think it is the height of arrogance to even consider such a proposal. How paternalistic. They are saying in effect: "You women don't know what you are doing."

I've had ultrasounds before "abortions". 4 pregnancies lost - 13 weeks - perfectly formed baby in a pregnancy I wanted to keep I saw the earlier Ultrasounds... "we just don't know what went wrong" I was told. They wanted me to stay home for a week to see if I would self abort - I woke up midway through the procedure - horrific, as someone was yelling "shes waking up and moving. Give her more sedative! With the monsterous sound of the suction machine was in the background. " 12 weeks - "Oh, its just a yolk sac - nothing there - really!"- Well, I felt pregnant! The tests said I was pregnant. And 2 more at 6 and 8 weeks - all had to have d&c - I've had 4 healthy kids in between, thankfully. - if you can consider my daughter with CF healthy- I've also had an abortion - a real abortion at 6 weeks when I was 18 - pregnant by an alcoholic, abusive boyfriend. I regret the abortion, not the decision to have one.

I still have nightmares from everyone of them - not every woman that has an "abortion" wants one - The decision is very personal is no one elses business! Keep your busy bodies out of the exam room. Keep your damned morality to yourself. Its between you and YOUR GOD! I'll make peace with mine when the time comes.
