Mammograms are a terrible way to "find cancer". They are a great way to find non-cancer and cancer that will never kill you. They are also a great gateway to both minor and major surgery, and they are terrific for terrorizing perfectly healthy women.

It is time to stop routine screening mammograms for asymptomatic women.

Early detection save lives - that's a fund-raising slogan, it is not good science and certainly not good medicine.
