FDA won't stop cheap version of preterm birth drug

So if pharmacies were making this product before KV brought it to market, where were their "millions in development costs" to justify that exorbitant price?

The price increase caused an outcry, and the Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday took the unusual step of declaring that pharmacies can still make the cheap version of the once-a-week shot on an individual basis, as they have for years. The agency said it wouldn't step in unless there was a problem with the safety of the specially made version.

Finally a government agency that does its job. The company should have offered the drug at a affordable price to start with. Anything else makes them look more like criminals than business people.

What my sarcastic question really means is that Healthcare needs MORE REGULATIONS and the personnel to enforce said regs. But life will become more ominous and precarious under GOP 'smaller government' rhetoric. There are 300 million Americans now - we cannot function as if it were still 1955.
