All of this is up to the Executive Branch, aka the Pres.

None of this is constitutional, of course. If we cared about those once-precious state and federal social contracts, most of what government does would be considered...well, criminal.

Dear Congress, Last year I mismanaged my funds and this year my spouse and I cannot decide on a budget. Until we have come to a unified decision that fits all of our needs and interests, we will have to shut down our checkbook and will no longer be able to pay our taxes. I'm sure you'll understand. Thank you very much for setting an example we can all follow.

Ahhh...but they have tanks and helicopters. And so far, we've told them with our votes that everything they do is just peachy A-OK.

Until we vote them all gone, we've got nothin' they won't take away.
