This is a very sad case but not at all that shocking. There are business disputes all over China--some workers who haven't been paid for 2-3 years because the big business gurus refuse to pay their wages. The government doesn't care nor does it step in to try to help their less well-off citizens b/c the big businesses are making money and that's all they care about. Maybe if there was an actual judicial system in China where people can actually fight justly in the courts, then this may have been avoided but the government needs to stop taking advantage of people who don't have money--too bad they never will.
