This article is slanted toward women and their reaction to stress at work. How sexist. Men have been dying young in huge numbers for the last several decades as they strive to support their families in stressful jobs. Your welcome.
You know, I hate articles like this because we often can't control our workplace, crazy bosses are in every office! So you read through this article, check off 4 of these danger factors, and worry you're gonna die in the next 5 seconds!!!
Try, quit playing political games at work. Women especially, just love to circle themselves in an army of allies, then target some poor suspecting soul for termination. Putting the poor soul through political turmoil and malicious gossip until the person is forced to leave.
Leave work for work, leave games for home. Try that, and maybe you'll live longer.
Yes, why is this article slanted towards women, when it is linked to general news and the title gives no indication of its sexist nature? Men (like my wonderful spouse) can have horribly stressful jobs!
And by the way, this article isn't even complete, msn! Where is the suggestion to remedy the last Ticker Trap?? Once again, a poor editing job.
"...crummy superior (someone who doesn't support her employees or is unclear about her goals) ... ."
I've worked for both men and women -- they're both equally obnoxious when they want to be, believe me. If Business in general was more careful about whom they hire and train for management, the business climate would be better. Businesses with bad leadership at the middle level seem to make money in spite of themselves ... !
You ever try driving semis, especially over-the-road multi-stop fresh food on a highly time-sensitive schedule? How about 15-hour days, cranky customers, congested roads, angry drivers, and bosses and customers alike who put more and more pressure on the solitary truck driver who is often 500 or 1000 or more miles from home? Try that for 30 years like I did, as it will give you a much different perspective on what constitutes a tough day at the office. Frankly, these days, now that I am semi-retired, I find a lot of life to be a lot less-stressful and demanding. It is almost like I don't know what to do with all of my spare time.

I enjoy quitting jobs when my boss is a jerk. It feels good.
I have an idea, especially for women.

Especially women? Sounds sexist to me. Both genders are capable of being rotten.
