What part of "no federal money is spent on abortions" do these people not understand? I was on the board of Planned Parenthood, OKC, for 5 years and I can say, without any doubt, what money is spent on what services. I volunteered in a PP clinic in the poorest part of OKC, for 5 years and we got 0 requests from women seeking an abortion. Our main function was supplying birth , pap smears and breast exams to the women in that area.

This is designed to deny the women of Texas the healthcare they need. Donations from foundations and individuals are used to fund abortions.

Rick Perry says that the federal government meddles too much and the SOB turns around and forces a bill through that will make doctors show a sonogram of the embroyo to a woman seeking an abortion.That isn't meddling into a service that he has no business being in.

Now he will deny healthcare to women who have no other place to go. The poorest of the poor who use Planned Parenthood .

Get Republicans out of office. They are all morons. They are cutting all programs that help women with contraception and then, if they want a baby, all of the prenatal care, vitamins and all the care of the mother and baby, they are cutting all programs to help the nutrition for low-imcome mothers and babies, day care services for poor women, Head Start programs and all early education and actually, ALL education from pre-school to college. The only time Republicans give a damn about the baby is the seconds surounding the actual birth. Republicans will all rot in HELL!

The speech was great. They always are. I now want to see action. With people hurting, many people depend heavily on Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid to survive. Changes to these programs should not include loses of benefits or additional costs. Raise or eliminate the income CAP for Social Security and it will b good for decades. Social Security should not even be included in budgt talks since it doesn't add a penny to the debt. Medicare/Medicaid? My personal choice--MEDICARE FOR ALL. At least give the government the right to bargain for drug prices like they do in other medical plans. Medicare/Medicaid is not the actual problem. The Healthcare Plans for everyone are the problem. Deal with healthcare in general and Medicare/Medicaid will go down too. Our country spends more and gets worse results than every other industrialized country.
