My naturopath said to take Quercitin for seasonal allergies. It is available at Natural supplement stores. It worked very well for me (after having a terrible season the year before). It takes a few weeks of taking Quercitin daily to have it build up in one's body.
I'm not surprised. My car was covered in what I'm pretty sure was pollen. Luckily I'm not allergic to trees though. It's the ragweeds in the late summer that make me suffer.
I agree. We on the Pacific Coast are suffering. Spring rain on day, Sun the next. Everything is in bloom. The Scotch Broom is covering the cars in yellow. I never had a problem but this year I am. Everything is beautiful. The sale of facial tissue must be up.
For my fellow sufferers, please, consider going to your favorite mens wear store (mine is a national discount store) and buying some packs of 100% cotton hankies instead of using tissues. Use, and toss in the laundry. I've been using hankies for years, and I can sneeze all day, and do not have the red, rough, and raw nose I had when using tissues. Be sure they are 100% cotton, those with polyester will act like the fibers in the tissue. And they take up no room in the laundry, do not require ironing, and you can stuff a bunch in a purse, or a couple in a pocket.
Salt water sinus rinse works best to cure allergy symptoms. I use the Neil-Med squeeze bottle and it cures my chronic allergy symptoms 100%. It works better than any pills or sprays!!! I bought the Neil-Med bottle at the pharmacy, but I make my own saline solution with 6 parts sea salt and 4 parts baking soda, then I put 2.5cc of the salt/soda mixture into the 8 ounces Neil-Med bottle, add warm water, shake it, then lean over the bathtub and squirt the rinse solution through each nostril a couple times. This washes away all the pollen and dust from my sinus and it feels great!!! The big pharmaceutical companies hate people using this basic salt water sinus rinse because it works better than their drugs. You don't need Zyrtec, Claritan, or steroid sprays; just rinse away the dust and pollen from your sinus, it's easy, it feels good, and it works. Also, this sinus rinse also prevents 95% of colds.
Move to Alaska for relief. I lived in Alaska for four years and never had a single problem with my sinuses. I have mold allergies and most of Alaska is classified as a desert.
This news reminded me a talk that i had with my granny. i know that a lot of you are going to say that I’m crazy and it have nothing to do with but is just a thought.
My grandmother, this past week have a huge fever, she's not young but still wasn't a normal thing. In the hospital some women told her that is something in the air that is making us go ill.
With global warming, pollution and know the nuclear disaster in Japan, i didn't get surprise that this problem with allergies that is also affecting Europe, comes from others things than pollen.
Hi, I'm Ryan I have allergic rhinitis . I reside in India.... my doc has suggested me to use Flixonase nasal spray . What would you suggest me to use? Is there a better spray available in the U.S, which by chance is being exported to India ?

Great idea! Never thought about using hankerchiefs.
When traveling stay in a Pure Allergy Friendly room at hotels. They are treated and have special purified air to reduce airborne allergens.
Hyatt has them in all of their hotels and call them RESPIRE Hypoallergenic rooms.
It really works for a great nights sleep and a safe haven from those bad things in the air that make us crazy!!
