20years ago I wondered why folks were getting Cancer and other diseases earlier. A little research suggested it was eating fructose. Since then I have spent hours a day on average trying to understand the cellular mechanisms and effect on our country. My summary...
Innocently eating fructose is bankrupting healthcare and our country. To reverse course we must wise up and do three things. Limit fructose to what's in an apple a day, insist on fructose labels and refuse to buy fructose foods until fructose is removed. "Fructose Free" is the next big thing.
Eating fructose and diabetes both elevate intracellular fructose. Healthy cells don't have fructose. They make it only when needed to replicate. Cancer cells may not be able to make fructose so can not replicate or spread unless you have diabetes or eat fructose. People are often fat or have T2D because fructose has messed up their appetite controls. If you compare men who have eaten lots of fructose to those who eat little you will probably find not a 3 times but a 10 times increase in BPH and CA of prostate.
Interesting about the fructose comment. Reminds me of the importance of having a regular dialogue with your doctor. Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions for treatment options. I found this helpful:http://whatstherealcost.org/video.php?post=five-questions
That an obese man will have a higher risk of cancer spreading is NOT a mystery. Obese men in general are less healthy. What's the mystery? Higher blood pressure, higher blood sugar, probably diabetic, and in glucosis, which creates a more acid blood Ph.. and also probably fructose - sugar - eaters which is cancer fuel. Every cancer patient I ever knew, had a raging sweet tooth as the cancer consumed them, and the cancer cells multiplied SO fast that quick carbs were what it would make the body crave. ALL of these individual statistics are known by the medical industry, so why they are unable to piece the puzzle together into the larger picture is a bafflement.

Prostate cancer metastasis and survival are functions of circulating vitamin D levels after diagnosis.
Look it up!
