I'm addicted to information and am fascinated by the Internet. I have a life that's not part of the Internet and feel a good balance between the two. Can't we call it a hobby?

I am "addicted" to reading news and wikipedia. I spend an inordinate amount of time reading articles. Is this a bad thing?

That's probably me, although I go through spells where I'm addicted to the Internet, then go through spells where I con't get enough music, then read trashy tabloids incessantly, then I end up not having enough hours in the day to read books, then watch TV all day, and then all I want to do is go shopping. Good thing I don't really carry cash or credit cards! ;) I think I have an obsessive or addictive personality, but I try (with varying degrees of success) to balance my real life and all my addictions.
