I'm not sure if that is true in all jurisdictions. If a baby is supported on the public dole prior to adoption, Social Services investigates and tries to identify the father so they can get support out of him, which is as it should be.

In a more primitive society, teenage parenthood is the norm. It is only in an advanced society that adulthood is postponed long past reproductive maturity. This leads to conflicts where their bodies are telling them to procreate, and society is telling them, "no".

Smarter people than you and I need to study this problem and come up with new answers to avoid unwanted pregnancy and abortions.

No one is sending women for botched illegal abortions performed in back alleys. They are going there on their own. They know the possible consequences but CHOOSE to make that choice.

When alcohol was illegal, no one forced people to consume bootleg liquor. They did it on their own, (and sometimes suffered the consequences). Same is true with street drugs today.

If abortion does become illegal and back alley abortionists set up shop, they will be apprehended, tried, convicted and sentenced. Hopefully, it will be a capital crime.

If so, perhaps the appropriate method of execution should be whatever method(s) they used to abort a baby.
