It will be another way for a health insurance company to demand higher premiums and deductibles from you. Just as all the DNA testing will be doing. Already do I suspect for women found to have the BRAC1 gene.
I am glad to know this info. as I will tuck it away for possible future use with hubby. His father had 3 A A's at the SAME TIME in his late 80's & came through that AND earlier by-pass surgery ( immediately BEFORE THE AA SURGERY) with flying colors to live to 94. His mom is that age now. <sigh> Wish "I" had those genes. (Not to mention their insurance.)
This is very interesting discovery as I have three sisters who have had AA's, two of them dying because of them. One sister also had an abdominal Anuryism as well. My younger sister was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and AA. I had several cousins and an uncle all on my Mothers side of the family who died from this. I was checked several years ago for this and the physician told me he did not find any. Should I have this checked periodically? All lived to be in their 70's or 80's. I am 80 years old and in fairly good health.
