As a Navy Hospital Corpsman, attached to the Marines, one of my duties was to be part of the team that did periodic, scheduled inspections of on base housing. One of the things I was supposed to look for was soda bottles being used to store household cleaners, etc. , (people would put the last few ounces from a large container into a soda bottle to save space). The main reason is that a young child will take a soda bottle and drink from it without question.
