I'd bet, that a person with breast cancer would welcome the use of the drug. Or any drug that might help them. Desperate times require desperate measures. That is, unless you're an insurance company, or the FDA. Then it's all just a matter of policies, procedures, and the bottom line. Very sad.
Well it's a crap shoot. the drug is not a cure, works best when combined with chemo drugs, and can have some very serious, even life threatening side effects.. I belong to an online cancer survivors network, lost someone to uterine cancer and someone to esoph cancer. Also have a good friend who was treated for BC and is doing well.. I know how frightening and devastating a cancer diagnosis can be and If I were diag. I'd certainly want to leave no stone unturned, however I think the benefits of this drug have been greatly over hyped..
