I personally believe that there are three powerful gifts that we can always give to each other: Love, Forgiveness, and Mercy. It sounds like they are legitimately trying to give these poor babies all three. This is a very noble undertaking for all involved and I wish them the best. Prayers also to the innocent preemies that simply won't make it, no matter how hard we try. Not everyone is going to live to a ripe-old age and that's just another sad part of life. While we can hope and pray that we are never put into such an unfortunate situation, we have to remember that death finds all of us in the end. It just happens to find some people much sooner than other.
