Don't take new drugs if you can find older tested ones that work for you. They will cost you more and you are acting as a free guinea pig for the pharmaceutical companies.
yup, I switched to all-sucralose & /or aspartame - that & good old metformin dropped my glucose 70 points, back to normal range. Every time I exercise, I blow out more cartilage or ligaments, so my options are limited. 'Tis nice that such a lifesaving drug can be so cheap and accomplish so much - kinda like aspirin ;)
Diet, exercise & keeping a healthy weight will do more for you than any big-pharma drug, new or old. They won't tell you that cause they would rather sell you the pills.
Right Mmm... or listen to the dept of health (man is that misleading) and their views on what constitutes a healthy diet and exercise regiment. They are BOUGHT AND PAID FOR by the diet industry.
Our government does not know what is best for us - we do. Quit believing in these liars and do what you know is right. Eat reasonable amounts of a variety of foods, build activity into your life. Stop depending on these "pay to exercise" work out organizations and just DO the work.
Our problem is not lack of knowledge or education - its lack of desire to be self sufficient. Suck it up and do the right thing!
big tobacco, mcdonalds, automotive industry comes to mind. millions of deaths each year...if it only kills millions, then sell it. after all we need to look cool and drive big cars right?
vilify the company that helps millions of people even if their product has side effects for some, and leave the other industries alone which provide 0 benefit to their consumers...makes sense to me!
The FDA doesn't care how many people are hurt or killed by the drugs they approve. Neither does Big Pharma. If they did, drugs like Actos would not still be available. It's all about money, and not about the health of the patient.
When will the FDA wake up and realize we DON'T NEED a new diabetes drug. Metformin works very well and it's drawbacks are understood very well and are minor compared to this NEW, commerically driven , drug.
Its big drawback to the pharmaceutical companies is that metformin is inexpensive. Sixty tablets retail for $4.00 at Walmart Pharmacy and probably other pharmacies.
I really don't understand why the FDA would allow a drug that is more harmful than the disease it purports to control on the market------UNLESS-----deep breath and shocked realization------It is the government's double secret death panels at work!
Curing diabetes would cut untold millions out of the medical system, and lay off tens of thousands - who do you think makes the test strips, inspects them, checks the quality seals on the bottles, manufactures the insulin and the numerous other pills? How many doctors make money each and every time diabetics go to the doctor for routine tests? How many people are employed by blood and urine testing centers? How about the "Glucerna" food and drink product line, how many job losses would be there?
Once you understand this, the reasons the FDA allows this becomes clear. Human testing is more cost-effective than animal testing, it has less protesters, and you can get out of almost any side-effects by saying "you should have known - it's on the label". And if you have a moral qualm about this, remember your Ethics class in college - yes, say it with me..."Everybody else is doing it." Situational ethics has won in Washington D.C.
If there was a cure for diabetes, don't you think that corporate agents with plenty to lose would be willing to kill people to keep such a cure secret? Seriously? And those agents would say they're helping mankind by weeding out the weak pancreas gene in humankind.
Don't get me started on the cure for cancer, either. The fact that my health insurance provider has a $300,000 per year cap on cancer treatments speaks volumes to what I said above. Follow the money.
there is always many way to get better to improve and to heal, there are always natural help in consumption that helps eveything,i discovered papaya leaf tea i boil one leaf with a pot of water with sugar and orange for taste in 24 hour period i felt like someone clean all my inside passages, i read many good things,as papaya is medicine tree,i wish everyone well.
As a health coach I could say so that the people should not always rely on pharma medical medicine or should I say people should consult and have some research on the medicine before you take them. The people behind or having the power for this medicine should take serious time to study before putting medicines in the market.I really recommend Diet, exercise & keeping a healthy weight will do more for you than any big-pharma drug.http://authentichealthcoaching.podomatic.com/
Here is a good one. My wife was on a diabetes pill, BP pill, cholesterol pill etc. She exercised and started eating a healthy diet and lost 50 pounds. Her blood sugar is always around 100 or less, her blood pressure is on the low end of normal, cholesterol is well under 200 but the docs won't let her stop the pills. It might go back up if she stops they say. I say that is garbage as these levels were high when she was on the meds but over weight. Now that she's healthy they want her to stay on the pills. Why? How about the doctor visits every quarter that generate revenue and the money from the Pill makers to keep her on the meds. Hmmm!!!
You know you don't have to follow your doctor's orders if you don't want to. Three months off the medications and a blood test should prove, once and for all, if you are right or if her doctor is right. The blood pressure you can easily monitor at home.
This drug appears to epitomize the phrase "the cure is worse than the disease".

actually everyone says that...even the companies. problem is that in the US nobody listens. much easier to be fat and lazy and pop a pill.

amen to that my friend.
If it only kills a few thousand, then sell it. After all, Big Pharma must make money.

Really! Does anyone have any doubt that we are just throwing money down a rat hole everytime we fund this organization?
Its so corrupt, bought, and paid for by big pharma that we're all a bunch of guinea pigs for the government.
What diabetes pill is this in or is it in all pills?

First, follow the money.
Now...say it with me, people:
Treatments make more money than cures.
