MB's headaches are probably more political than simple migraines. There's no getting around it; you run for president and you set yourself up to be attacked.

One example? In 2004, John Kerry was shredded by those faux Swift Boaters for Truth that were really no more than swifties for pay. And it's not just one side that does this. Both left and right engage in character assassination as a matter of doing business.

Beyond all of that, there's no perfect candidates because there's no perfect people to be candidates. We don't elect saints or angels or genetic hybrids to lead us. We select from those citizens among us who are just as imperfect and frail as we are. If you would deny MB her chance to run for office, then you might as well outlaw anyone with any disease or ailment or imperfection, including those with ingrown toenails, arthritis... and lets not forget gays.

You want perfection? Seek God.
