Hiking in grizzly bear country? "Bear deterrent spray"? Depending on that is going to get you killed. That's pepper spray. The bears just think it makes you taste spicier. The ones that prefer a blander diet will just maul you to death without actually eating you. Carry a gun, and not some stupid little 9mm that the homies in the 'hood favor. A .44 magnum is the absolute minimum. More gun would be better.
