Do you know how many glass windows those towers had? And when those towers collapsed all that glass broke into small and inhalable particles. Those particles of glass embedded themselves into the lungs of people inhalling the air at ground zero. Glass is not picked up on X-Rays.
The big problem is that while some diseases have clear, scientifically provable causes, a direct cause/effect relationship between a source (however likely or obvious it may seem) and a cancer is close to impossible to PROVE. Cancers don't tell what caused them. People exposed to the same likely sources will have different impacts. Some smokers live to 90; some nonsmokers get lung cancer. This can be quite frustrating to scientists asked to verify what may seem so obvious to most of us. In this case, it would seem quite reasonable to go beyond what is provable and cover those brave people who risked all and whose illnesses are the likely result.
Our government is in the sex business.

The problem here is that existing research shows that cancers take much longer than 10 years to show themselves after an event. Other diseases, particularly respiratory ones are not in dispute. No one is trying to screw anyone. Look at the existing research on cancers and you'll find that the evidence weighs against them coming from the towers collapse and debris clouds. However this may change as time goes on. Right now there is not enough evidence to make a positive determination.
With over 400 chemical components in standard use office carpet, the lime in standard use industrial cement, and the hazardous components in standard use office computers ALONE -- pulverized by the collapse into "fines" (micron sized particles) and airborne into the surrounding environment and released over time by disruption and disturbed by normal city activity the area will be a known cluster for decades.
Its ABSURD not to recognize this a such and treat it as such.

Uhm, the evidence was destroyed along with most of the remnants of the WTC when it was restricted access to the site. It was shipped off to be burried, refined, or otherwise destroyed. The handling of the WTC events was very carefully controlled from a liability standpoint as to ensure that nobody could ever question the official events of the day. Nobody with a scientific background was allowed access to the site to inspect it for the real reason why WTC 7 fell ... and with it why WTC-1 and WTC-2 collapsing at nearly free fall speeds.

Having 2 members of my immediate family affected by 9/11. Both were at ground zero.
One in state employ, who had a respiratory device and one in the FEDERAL National Guard who did not, the one without has respiratory and lung function problems, as 94% of his National Guard colleagues. The brother in state employ has had no problems. DID OUR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DOWNPLAY THE RISKS TO SAVE FACE????

Some people get cancer and some do not. My wife just died from cancer, she never smoked, ate organic, ect ect but she still came down with it and in 2 years it killed her. I guess I should be like most every other american and try and find someone/something to blame so i can sue and collect--after all, is that not the the real american way? Look at the silicon law suits, pretty much bankrupted dow chemical and years later it was found that that any link was just conjured up by some low life class action lawsuit att. Now we have thousands more with their hands out all trying to cash in on the taxpayers dime.

Maybe there's no nefarious plot here. Maybe, just maybe, the hard evidence to link specific cancers "at this time" ( as the report says ) to the collapse is not in. There's nothing suggesting that a determination that cancers might be pegged to 9-11 is off the table for the future.
