of coarse we do, what woman with a brain would consider a bunch of old white men the leading authority on what is good for them? It's called being responsible. also lets not forget, I am will to bet most women take birth control for health reason more than anything.

And what about the women who use BC for purely health reasons? Like to treat acne, PCOS, unbearable periods, etc? Are they going to burn in hell for that?
Birth control is no longer JUST FOR BIRTH CONTROL. We've known this for years. Time to move some Catholic rules into the 21st century, people. Or better yet, don't worry about it - religion is bad for us anyway.
Any use of any birth control is prohibited. I do not think the Pope cares what your using it for. He would rather see starving children than endorse some sort of birth control.
The Pope don't play the game, he shouldn't make the rules...

Not too well, apparently...
The no birth control thing is very old school, but as a teenager, I was taught to use contraceptive, if I just had to have sex...and I'm Catholic. We live in different times now than when these rules were created, and the church has yet to get around to changing them. Yes, we stay loyal to the Catholic Church and believe most of what it teaches, but many women know better than to follow blindly. Religion and faith are two different things.
Also, too many people have too many presumptions about the Catholic Church and its ideology. The burn in hell thing is very played out and quite annoying to modern-day Catholics...fyi.
Probably because it has high ideals that none of them meet, and in fact, they are a Pedophile Cult -- and people all the way to the highest levels in the Vatican protected all the child rapists for decades.
I'm sorry, but that was a very ignorant comment. There are pedophiles in every race, religion, culture, and nation. The Vatican is the governmental part of our church, and yes it has its corruptions...just like everything else. Pedophilia is sick and in no way justified, and yes, the Vatican hid them and kept secrets. But that does not demonstrate the character of every cardinal, priest, nun, and Catholic church member. Nothing nor no one is perfect, and we should not expect them to be so.

But when it comes down to the vile, evil acts they commit, suddenly they're "just like everyone else". This is nothing but cowardice at the Nth degree.
