Tap water for a neri pot? That's one I hadn't heard of! What a tragedy for these families...my heart, prayers and condolenses goes out to them....

I'd be interested to know how the amoeba got into just the one house's water supply myself. That seems more than a bit odd even aside from the neti pot which would then give it access to his brain tissue.

This is the big problem with the "news' nowadays - too much sensation and too little real information.

HOW did this , "all of a sudden", become news-worthhy ? HOW long has it actually been around and how prevalent is it ? I live in the Tampa, Florida area and have a500 gallon "POND" in my screenroom, is it a "GOOD target", for this bug ??? "WORRIED, have Grandchildren that feed the fish in the pond ?
