I wonder how many people have been fired because of a false positive drug test. You did hear about the incompetence that put a man in jail in Las Vegas based on DNA evidence and an incompetent analyst. But people see this CSI stuff and think that these people that analyze things are all geniuses, far past human fallibility.

Why is this even news. false positives do happen, even as rare as they are in this case. So what questions does this raise? That false positives happen but it is rare? And that a porn star does not have HIV? Seems like someone needed a story by a deadline and decided to report that a false negative HIV test raises questions yet not sure what it raises nor remotely is new worthy

Too many "funny" things to say - funny to me - maybe not to others, so I'll pretty much leave it alone.

At least the false positive should boost the self-esteem...and I'm sure the parent's will be thrilled...

Honestly, I don't have children - but - I couldn't IMAGINE having a daughter (especially, since I'm a guy and protective like that) - and you find out she's in porn. You love your daughter - of course - but...wtf do you do? You CERTAINLY can't watch anymore porn - especially without screening who's in it first - because - that would be - SICK - and...probably damn tempting.

Watching a great porn with the wife...getting into it - and then...your daughter pops up on the screen.... That is a test of moral character there. Could also lead to some funny comments like...did she learn that from you?

I guess a true moral of the story is - get a second opinion - regardless of what they say of the reliability.

If they tell you the odds of it being incorrect are EXTREMELY high - all you need to remind them of is that someone always wins the lottery too.

Wow , if this person doesn't say thanks and walk away from this lifestyle , than the next time they may not be as fortunate . If given a second chance I would get as far away from the Lights , Camera and Action as possible .
