The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends flu shots for children as young as six months old, yet less than a quarter of the 74 children over age six months who died between September 2010 and August 2011 had been vaccinated.
The propagandized and unstated assumption is for the reader to make his/her own conclusion that the flu vaccine would have saved these children's lives.
It is an unwarranted and unscrutinized assumption. For children under 2 years old the vaccine is comparable to placebo meaning it hasn't shown much use. For the most of the children, they had comorbidities. Many of them mount poor responses to vaccine. This makes the vaccine less useful if at all.
So according to the article 75% of the deaths were children that were previously vaccianted? AND 50% of the deaths were children with serious underlying issues. That leaves approx. 50 children throughout the united states that died from flu ( which is terrible don't get me wrong) but there are hundreds of children dying from other preventable issues. These 50 children could have easily had undiagnosed underlying issues. We sure are spending a lot of money on this flu vaccine....or are the drug companies making a lot of money? On average how much do they make from flu vaccine ? I just think vaccinating a otherwise healthy kid every fall can't be good. I mean, Im a scientist and I have no idea what is in that little vial or how it was stored. I am not fear mongering (sp?) I just think the death statistic is very very very low as per our population----there must be something else going on that i am not getting.
QUOTE: 'Only half of the 94 children who died in the hospital were given antiviral drugs, such as Tamiflu. Since the 2009 H1N1 swine flu pandemic, the CDC has recommended immediate treatment with antiviral medications in patients with severe flu symptoms.'
Several years ago, friends took their little girl to the hospital with severe symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, fever and lethargy. They were told to take their child home. When they returned, their little girl could not be saved. They lost her because of 'neglect'. The least they should do in small children is give IV fluids.
Instead of teaching sex education and offering condon, why don't the school turn around to teach simple personal hygience? And why don't the Planned Parenthood offer hand sanitizer instead? Or why don't they offer the preventive measures about the illness?
"Some of the children that died were un-vaccinated"
So how many of them died that were?
Notice how there is never clear wording? "Some 115" and "estimated"
Yes, I know it is not flu season but vaccine season. let's hear more hype.
Don't you just love the ads like Humira to the right? Gotta love it.
Did you read the rest of the article?
It does actually clarify that statement.

Flu vaccines only protect you against last years flu not the new ones coming out all the time. 115 out of how many cases total?
