Why is this such a big deal all of a sudden. We've had Asian Tiger Mosquitoes in Louisiana for quite awhile now and we live in the greater New Orleans area. Getting bitten during the day is common in my backyard. Chemical preventatives often don't work so we have to rely on other methods such as making sure there is no standing water around the yard such as in flower pots, etc.
