Why do people like you consider AIDS a disease for homosexuals? A huge number of heteros are infected, not to mention all of the children.
This would be amazing, alot of people die from this disease and its whiping out the population this will give infected persons hope and another chance for good health. Alot of people who are unaware of how this disease infects, so many people were infected did not live a indescent lifestyle.No matter how the infection occurred people are losing lifes.If you really look at it alot of people are lucky to not have contracted this disease,so dont judge people try to help people and we will win this war!
AIDS is just one more fatal illness we need a cure for; it doesn't matter how it was contracted.
@drama-AIDS is not a disease of homosexuals. it includes those in "no risk" groups including children. educate yourself before you comment. if only indecent people died from disease charles manson wouldn't still be sitting in prison. if God wiped out indecent people with disease there would be no children dying from cancer while vicious criminals live long lives.

Dis, there is no reason to feel bad about ripping into a white hooded homophobe. AIDS has been around for over 25 years, and if an adult doesn't know all of the facts about it, they are simply ignorant and there won't be a thing you can say to change it.

It's amazing how some people are so small-minded that they turn a cause for celebration into an opportunity to spew hatred. I, too, believe homosexuality is wrong but I would love to see AIDS cured.

I think they have a cure and refuse to release it. They charge over 1500 a month for this medicine why would they release a cure and since it allows a person to live an average life span thats 900K per person if they live 50 years. I'm not convinced that you can create a way to make a man live a normal life span with the disease but not have a cure. This is a man made disease and they need to own up to it and release a cure already. Nothing but population control on a devious level.
If the knowledge is there to remove "dirty" cholestrol from the virus. Why don't they replace the infected cholestral with a permeable "flush" such as with TRITON X, and then compound HMG-CoA as a supplicant "clean"cholestral?
That would probably work well in a dish, but applying Triton to your cells would destroy their membranes too. It's a great detergent, it puts holes in cell membranes and lets all the stuff out.
Its a shame that its taken so long to beat this virus down. Even if your living with it, like most do now days, its the damage all the pills you have to take do to you. Its too bad they didnt follow up on the one case of a person being cured of Hiv from a bone marrows transfusion. Lets hope they get some medicine made and get this virus out of the body.
This is truly amazing! All these years and the diligence has finally paid off! If you think about it...this "cure" can also lead to cures for other life-threatening diseases...such as...hepatitis, cancer and so many more! I am excited and I just have one more comment: To ALL the people who left their comment attacking homosexuals...AIDS and HIV Can affect EVERYONE...especially in the health care field. Homosexuals are not "privy" to this hideous disease. How small minded are the people who left such comments. (BTW..I am totally heterosexual). Ignorance is still among us even in this day and age...sad.
The hardest part isnt getting medicines to fight the disease, its how the virus lives deep with in the tissue, hidden away. The virus is smart and loves to adapt , so it will be hard to get it eradicated from the system. Would love to see this done though with in the next 10 years.

DramaStopper if you want to stop homosexuality then heterosexuals need to stop having homosexual babies, right? Or is homosexuality a choice? Seeing how homosexuals can't reproduce with each other, the true trait of homosexuality should have died out over millions of years, correct? So is it innate or a choice? Either way, AIDS is still killing millions of people and is not exclusively among homosexuals! It affects all walks of life and does not discriminate!
