I just heard your story on the new cancer treatment. I was first diagnoxed with Her 2 positive breast cancer in 1997. I had the normal chemo drugs then. After 5 years I went for a regular chest exray and they found lung was full of Her 2 breast cancer. THis time I was given the drugs carboplatin, taxol, and Herceptin. The combinatilon of these drugs starting working immediatley. I am 9 years out now,and in a study for metastic Her 2 cancer. this has gotten rid of the cancer and get the drug once every three weeks. I have no side effects from this drug. I am monitored with a ekg once every 6 months. I am now 68 years of age and this drug has been a miracle drug for me.
