This is NOT news to the Drs., surgeons ,and staff who DONATE their services world-wide ( and donors ) to Smile Train, a non-profit which the New York Times calls: "One of the best charities in the world-dollar for dollar."
For a meager $250. per child, they perform cleft palate surgery on babies and children all over the world which literally gives these children a chance to eat, speak, talk, go to school and have a normal life.
The list of these extremely poor, desperate babies and children awaiting this surgery is very long folks, so any help is greatly appreciated and can google Smile Train for address and info.
These babies were born with this severe abnormality because of the mother's malnutrition during pregnancy.
