Good Study and makes sense. Some adult brain injuries can also lead to symptoms/characteristics that resemble some autism spectrum disorder symptoms...which would seem to support these research results. I also wonder if the plastic and vinyl tubing and medical equipment (such as the warmed oxygen delivery system) plays a part in the changes in brain function that lead to autism spectrum disorders? It seems like the statistical rise in the incidence of autism spectrum disorders correlates with the increased use of plastics and vinyls (petroleum products) over the past few decades.

Mothers with vitamin D deficiency are MUCH more likely to give birth to premature, low birthweight babies. Preeclampsia, a condition also STRONGLY associated with vitamin D deficiency, will often result in preterm deliveries.
Good point...Another possible link...and sun screens and minimizing sun exposure has also become the norm over the past couple decades, as well as more women working indoors rather than greater amount of time spent outdoors (sun) in the mild weather, as was more common in past years...all most likely contributing to statistics of lower vitamin D levels.
I also think the higher incidence of ADHD is also related to whatever cause(s) are contributing to the statical rise in autism spectrum disorders. Definitely broader criteria and better diagnostics are playing some part (but not exclusively) in the rising statistics as well, in my opinion.
Every week its something new that causes or has a higher risk for autism....it's metals, its inoculations, it's mom smoking, it's dad smoking, it's high in-vitro testosterone levels, it's this and that and the other thing!! wouldn't it be easier to just say children have a higher risk of autism? because all of this stuff the media keeps posting is statistical analysis....it means nothing.

SMH. Put a one-size-fits-all-toxic-even-to-adults STD vaccine injection into a child's arm on the day of birth and they may as well be trying to eat Jello with a fork. That injection changes everything that can be considered normal or can be measured accurately from human to human around the globe. OF COURSE autism is associated with lower weight babies! You jabbed them with something that a SMALLER body can handle even less effectively than babies of normal size.

No, I mean the ability to think logically. You used the side effects warnings on medications as your proof that vaccines cause more problems than they prevent. Let's ignore that vaccines and medications are different (one prevents, the other treats) for the time being. You only prove your point if those side effects occur more frequently and are more severe than the diseases the meds treat or the vaccines prevent. You've given no proof of that.

Opinion is like a ship on the ocean. There are vessels of distinction and nothing but dingies. I use personal adverse side effects to vaccines to prove they are crap. There are multiple cases, yet they get ignored and denied, so it does not matter how much evidenceis out there or where is the evidence you desire.
So if it does not matter, why even attempt to be civil when authoritarians THINK they own the gavel?
Great find.. Now, out of this community of underweight children at birth, how many had their full set of recommended vaccinations? Don't stop with this finding.. Please..
