I truly believe that weight gain/loss will be linked to the individual. If they are taught early on how to take care of themselves, eat healthy, follow a routine physical activity (walking 30 minutes per day is helpful), and an activity that they LOVE they will be okay. A positive attitude is catching, they may be able to motivate others to take care of themselves as well. Some times this is easier said then done, however, if they do the exercise with a partner they are more likely to continue.
Colleges can also begin to serve healthier food and offer activities that the students are truly interested in!
