Reese has been sober since 1991 and now he's sharing his success story on a national registry intended to collect and share the experiences of "recovery heroes."
What is the success in this "story"? He was a drunk and quit drinking. Big deal. What is this in this country? Everything is made into a big deal what should be something you take care of if you want to change it. What a bunch of weaklings and a sick way of pushing things into the non-existent spot light. Got nothing better to do with your time?
Obviously, you do not have his problems so you minimize his success. Your egocentric attitude towards others is a primary reason why people should think twice about putting their personal information on the internet thanks to people like you you selfish sob!
I struggled with addiction my whole life. Finally got sober 18 months ago. Went to prison numerous times. Destroyed my marriage. Left my kids without their Father in their home. My life is wonderful today. No drastic ups or downs, just middle of the road. Exactly how I like it. I attained my personal trainer certification and am a trainer at Golds gym. THIS is the life my Higher Power intended for me. I love to help others and do so thru training and volunteer work at my church. I owe it all to God and A.A
My many years of drinking, mainly BEER or suds as I call this can of poison. Set me on a path after my gallbladder was removed. The doctor requested my brother after the procedure. Asked him just how much alcohol I was consumming, of course brother didn"t know. Anyway two quart containers were drained off my liver, also remained in the hospital extra days while the blood off my liver seeped through a tube out my right side. This was a wake up call for me!! Maybe seven months I continued to drink. Then I just quit october,2008. have been sober well over three years And do atttend AA meetings at least three a week. Iam thankfull for this program. reading the big book and doing service work. in fact just arrived from a meeting where a friend celerbated 29 years of sobriety. ONE DAY AT A TIME!!!!
Disclosing personal information may be helpful to others struggling with the same or similar issues, however, the information could be used against you by potential employers, gossiping people, and the government. This is a risky business to say the least and I would caution anybody sharing such information on the internet for what should be obvious reasons. If you think your anonymous because you did not disclose your name and address think again.
