One of my two greatest sports heros. Not a perfect man, but who is? On the whole, I'd say he's led a good life and made a positive difference in the world, and in the end I think that's all you can ask of anyone. Greatest fighter of all time, in more ways than one. Happy birthday, champ. Always the greatest in my book.
I thought he would lose to Sonny Liston....he didn't. I thought he would lose to Joe Frazier...he didn't. I thought he would lose to Ken Norton...he didn't. I thought he would lose to George Foreman...he didn't. I thought he would lose to Larry Holmes...he didn't. He was the greatest fighter to ever step in to the ring.
Anyway, Ali has always been the man. I remember my little, tiny mother screaming for him when he was fighting on tv in black and white. She *never* screamed. He has always been the most entertaining sports figure ever, bar none. You da man, Ali!!!
Mr. Ali. How does someone wish you a very Happy Birthday. I rweally wish I had some clever way of doing it , but I dont. I did the chance to meet you several years ago . It was a true honor and privilege to be able to. You were very gracious even with hundreds still in line to get your autograph, You took the time to talk for a minute and shake my hand. It was something I will never forget. You have been an inspiration to millions, me being one of them. Thank you. My family and I would like to extend a sincere wish for many...many more wonderful birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHAMP!!

I used to listen on the radio to his first fights as Cassius Clay, but he'll always be Muhammad Ali to me. Happy Birthday.

A fine and popular boxer in his day. But I reserve the accolade of "The Greatest" for those who helped defend their country.
